Updates:

New national lure coursing organization? A new list has been established for discussion of ideas about a new national lure coursing organization, the working title of which is The National Lure Coursing Club. The list is open to all those with a genuine interest in such an organization and who will support its efforts when it is up and running. For more information, or to sign up and participate in the discussion, go to the list's Yahoo Groups site.

If you are already a registered Google user, and regularly use Google for searching, email, RSS Feeds, or even maintain your own Google Calendar, you'll be thrilled with how easy it is to add Region 1 event listings, or even the entire Region 1 calendar, to your own personal Google calendar.

If you are not already a registered Google user, you can sign up for a free account to take full advantage of the Region 1 Event Calendar.

More details about advanced features coming soon, but for now here are a couple you might find very useful:

Subscribe to the Region 1 Calendar

You can subscribe to any or all of the Region 1 Calendars, so that all events, or only selected event types (e.g. racing only) will display on your own personal Google calendar. Updates to the Region 1 Calendar will automatically update on your personal calendar! Once subscribed, you can set reminders for events to be emailed or text messaged to your cell phone, invite guests to view event details, and save event details to other iCal calendars (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, among others).

To subscribe to all the Region 1 calendars and display ALL events on your personal calendar, go to the events calendar and click on the button in the lower right corner of the calendar.

To subscribe to only selected event types, go to the events calendar and click on the down arrow in the upper right corner of the calendar. Use the checkboxes to select any combination of calendars that interest you and then click on the button at the bottom of the list.

Mapping

You can use the built-in Google mapping service to map or get directions to a trial location. From the calendar, click on the event listing, and then on the "map" link to the right of the location info. Do keep in mind that this doesn't replace the definitive directions listed in the premium list or event flyer, but can provide nice supplementary location information about events. Exact locations can only be generated if a trial site address is provided by the event organizer, but even in cases where this isn't available, you can generate directions to the general area to supplement the directions listed in the premium list.
